According to Msikaba Bridge project director, Laurence Savage, construction should be complete in the last quarter of 2024.

Work on the bridge, which forms part of N2 Wild Coast Road (N2WC), began in late 2019 where it is being constructed by the CME joint venture, a partnership between MECSA and Concor, both 100% black-owned Grade 9CE South African construction companies.
As it stands, the bridge’s four huge anchor blocks are at an advanced stage of construction, and the complex deck construction phase of the project about to start very soon.
IN PROGRESS:

The project is being built with the main aim of improving the travel time between Durban and East London for light and heavy freight vehicles. The bridge will have significant social and economic benefits and will act as a catalyst for local and regional development.
Look out for the next update coming in a couple of months.
