Val de Vie Estate is a luxury residential and outdoor lifestyle estate occupying over 2270 acres, the estate is located between Stellenbosch(Paarl), and Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands.

What makes the Val de Vie Estate different from the pack is that it encompasses various neighbourhoods each with its own distinct characteristics, surrounded by Polo fields, vineyards, parks, natural fynbos vegetation, lakes and mountains.
Named the “Safest House in Africa” by New World Wealth, Val de Vie Estate is known mostly for its Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, world-class polo facilities, L’Huguenot wine cellar and mountain bike trails.
Background
To understand the history of Val de Vie, let’s take it back to 2007, when Martin Venter’s Val de Vie Investments bought the estate land in 2003 and the first residential homes were built in 2007.

In 2016, Patrice Motsepe’s African Rainbow Capital(ARC) acquired a 20% stake in Val de Vie Investments.
In 2015 Val de Vie Investments in collaboration with a consortium of partners, bought the adjacent Pearl Valley Golf & Country Estate, this came after Pearl Valley went into business rescue.
South Africa’s Competition Commission approved the acquisition which included the entire first phase of Pearl Valley, the clubhouse, the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, a hotel site, a 20 hectare equestrian farm, 80 serviced plots and 150 un-serviced residential plots.
